As many of you know, I have a huge soft spot for shelter pets. So when Sarasota Magazine hired me to photograph a story they were working on for Sarasota Sheriff's Office Animal Services, it could not have been a more perfect match.
On the day I went out to Animal Services to take photographs, I met Robert Plunket, the author of the article. It was the first time I had been out there and I was able to tour the entire facility. I spent time with a few of the employees and volunteers, as well as, some of their fur babies up for adoption.
The article is currently running in the March issue. I highly recommend picking up a copy. You can also read the online version HERE. I hope it will help shed some much needed light to the many animals in need of our help.
Below are a few of my favorites that didn't make the article. You can see all of the animals the shelter has up for adoption HERE. If you are looking for that new family member please keep Sarasota Animal Services on your list of places to look.
