Kim Longstreet is the owner of DogStreet Photography. Kim is a Sarasota, Florida based photographer with over 15 years of experience, five of which have specialized in location-based pet photography. Kim is available for photographic projects in Sarasota County, the State of Florida, and nationwide.
Kim truly understands how important pets are to our families. Her goal is to capture fond memories of your pet via beautiful images, creating tangible memories for you and your family for years to come. If you’re looking for a “traditional portrait,” rest assured, Kim can do that for you. However, if you’re looking for something fun and different, you’re definitely in the right place!
Kim’s approach to photo sessions are relaxed and in the moment, with a touch of documentary style. Kim will provide you and your pet with a bit of coaching and direction; but mostly, following your pet’s lead will produce the best results. This creates a warm, inviting space for you and your pet’s personalities to shine through.
Kim’s number one priority is the safety and well being of your pet. For locations, Kim collaborates with you to choose an area where your pet is most comfortable, whether it’s your home, your yard, favorite park, or a beach. Kim promises to treat your pet as she treats her own: with love, affection, and a few biscuits for good measure.
“Live life in the moment and find humor in the details. This is what my dog, Nyla, reminds me of daily.
This incredible spirit is what I strive to capture in all pets, large and small, feisty and timid.
Photographing your best friend, I can't think of a better way to spend my day!”

Donating photographic services to help find forever homes for our community’s homeless pets is an important part of DogStreet’s mission and philosophy. As a photographer, adopted by a shelter dog, Kim donates her services whenever and wherever she can. Kim volunteers with local non-profit shelters and rescues; she often covers events, donates to fundraisers, and photographs adoptable pets for websites.
Kim is a proud member of Hearts Speak, a nonprofit organization that works to connect artists with rescue shelters and animal relief organizations, with the goal of increasing adoption numbers and lowering the euthanasia rate across our nation.
